Lillian & Jared Forest Wedding

Lillian & Jared Forest Wedding

.
Bride and Groom name Lillian & Jared
.

.
Wedding Date Thursday, February 06, 2020
.

.
Where are you from? Southern California
.

.
How long have you been in a relationship, before the wedding ? 8 years
.
.
Where did your wedding take place? Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton, CA. It’s close to Santa Cruz.
.
.
What was your wedding theme? I didn’t plan a specific theme. I just wanted to keep things simple and small.
.

.
What was your wedding color palette? we didn’t officially have wedding colors, but I think it defaulted to sage green since that color appeared a lot.
.
.
What kind of music was playing? The groom's father played guitar for the ceremony. I walked down the aisle to the theme song from the movie Princess Bride. We sang Great is Thy Faithfulness during the ceremony since that song has a lot of meaning for us and spoke to where we were as a couple in our relationship. Finally, our recessional song was To God Be the Glory since it was the working of God who brought us together.
.
.
What dress did you wear? I wore my very comfortable and elegant Blush fashion dress. I had customization of the long sleeve off-shoulder dress.
.
.
What shoes did you wear? Green suede clogs from Sanita.
.
.
What flowers did you have? I did my own flowers (with the help of my mom). I hand-painted a variety of sola wood flowers and arranged them in a faux greenery bundle. They looked convincingly real, but I’ll get to keep my bouquet forever.
.
.
Where did you make your honeymoon? We stayed in the Santa Cruz area for a few days, then road tripped to Mammoth lakes for another couple days. After that, we returned to our hometown in SoCal to host a mini reception for our friends who couldn’t be at our tiny ceremony. We then packed up all my belongings and drove across the country to our new life together in Maryland.
.
.
What was the most enjoyable thing about your wedding day the entire day felt like a dream. It was like my mind couldn’t fathom it was my reality that my wedding day had arrived. But when I began to walk down the aisle, I told myself to focus and make sure I remember the moment because this was real life. I looked up and caught Jared’s eye and smiled so deeply because we were about to do what we’ve been wanting for so long—we were getting married!
.
.
What is your tip for a happy relationship? keep God at the center of your relationship, and love one another selflessly
