There’s just something about Fall weddings that gives us all the feels ( ... and it’s not just all those pumpkins spiced lattes! ), and let’s be real, with the state of the wedding industry right now, a lot of weddings have been postponed to this crisper, more vibrant season anyways and here at BLUSH, we couldn’t be more thrilled!
With the changing leaves and cooler temps, comes richer hued color themes, layered wedding attire, and unique eats. Here we shed light on a few of our favorite trends that we’re seeing emerge for the Fall 2020 Blush bride!
DIVINE DECOR: Effortlessly earthy, bold hues

We still can’t get enough of the au natural, boho look of wildflower bouquets, center-pieces, hair accessories, and arbors brimming with natural-colored plumes, dusty colored roses, pussy willows, and wild orchids - something that looks effortlessly hand-picked while frolicking in a nearby field on route to say “I DO!”. This is a great option for the free-spirited, day-dreamer (a.k.a. The Blush bride) Take a hint from Michael and Larissa’s dreamy New Zealand wedding for some major inspiration.

For decor and invitations, we’re seeing an infusion of bold colors and rich textures - think Moroccan tones of deep burgundy, forest green, burnt orange, and our favorite velvet and satin finishes - exuding rich decadence and an autumnal elegance. Something that’s easy to accomplish on a budget.
FALL 2020 BRIDAL FASHION: Modest looks, buff tones & shorter styles
When we think Fall fashion, we immediately think long sleeves and more modest necklines, and that’s something we’re seeing a lot of this season! Like our Wrap Mermaid Wedding Dress or our Vintage Style Long Sleeved Lace Wedding Dress, we’re also seeing a shift away from standard ivory to buff tones (think: blush or champagne) something a little more alternative, but still elegant. For the edgier bride that’s not afraid to take a risk, we’ve also seen a lot of shorter styles coming down the runways - layered with moto-jackets or suede booties - like you just hopped off a Harley and down the aisle!

DELICIOUS DELIGHTS: DIY eats, textured cakes
With alternative locales and wedding destinations on the rise in response to our “new normal”, comes a shift away from the more formal way of wedding dining. We’re seeing a rise in an alternative “eats” - like charcuterie boards, finger foods (think: sliders or sushi!), and oyster bars! Easy, simple little nibbles that are quick and always delicious - even on the go (calling all my elopers!) Wedding cakes are also getting a facelift, with interesting earthy textures and finishes like edible wildflowers, vines, and muted au natural tones.
