Their Love Story
Brett, from Australia, and Hannah, from New Zealand, first met online ten years ago. Their long-distance relationship blossomed, leading to a nine-year romance before Brett proposed. The couple's connection has always been strong, surviving the challenges of distance and time, ultimately bringing them together in marriage.
The Wedding
Like many couples in 2020, Brett and Hannah had to adapt their wedding plans due to COVID-19. Their wedding occurred at home with four attendees: the couple, the celebrant, and Brett’s parents. Although Hannah wished her own parents could attend, travel restrictions made it impossible. However, their small, intimate ceremony perfectly suited their shy personalities. The couple also took the opportunity to have a professional photoshoot later, once restrictions in Australia eased, to celebrate their union.

Bride’s Attire
Hannah wore a custom blush dress adorned with butterfly wings, which added a whimsical touch to her look. She kept her makeup natural, doing it herself, and opted for loose curls styled by a local hairdresser. Hannah accessorized with Nana's pearl necklace and earrings, bringing a sentimental element to her bridal look. Her shoes were a practical yet elegant choice—a neutral grey leather pair with a thick heel from Wittner Shoes.
Groom’s Attire
Brett looked dashing in a suit from Tarocash paired with shoes from Hush Puppies. The couple’s understated style and attention to detail highlighted their preference for simplicity and elegance.
Rings
Their wedding rings were thoughtfully selected from Michael Hill Jeweller and Prouds Jewellers, with Hannah’s wedding band being a budget-friendly find from Etsy. The classic solitaire design perfectly matched the couple’s timeless style.
Cake and Music
The couple decided to forego the traditional wedding cake and instead treat themselves to cheesecake later. No music was played during their ceremony, emphasizing the quiet, intimate atmosphere of the day.
Memorable Moments
Hannah’s favorite memory from their wedding day was when it began to rain as they took their last photos, capturing the beauty of the day uniquely and naturally.
Advice for Couples
Hannah shared that she wished they had tied the knot sooner, embracing the simplicity and beauty of their intimate ceremony. Her top tip for a happy relationship is to "respect each other and listen," advice that has undoubtedly strengthened their bond.
Honeymoon Plans
With travel still uncertain, Brett and Hannah are considering a relaxing day out in a local town, possibly indulging in a spa day to unwind and celebrate their marriage.
